ArcBox Enhances Solar Safety at Manufacturing Facility in Thailand
A polyester screen-printing mesh manufacturer in Prachinburi Province, Thailand, has reinforced the safety of its solar PV investment with the installation of ArcBox fire safety enclosures as part of a new 500.50kWp solar PV system.
The installation was carried out by ONNEX by SCG, a leading EPC contractor in Thailand, helping the manufacturer reduce electricity costs while supporting its sustainability objectives. Alongside the performance benefits of solar energy, the customer wanted to ensure the system met the highest possible safety standards, leading to the specification of 24 ArcBox DC Connector Enclosures.
As an industrial manufacturing facility, maintaining safe operations across the site was a top priority, the customer recognised the importance of addressing the risk associated with DC arcs within rooftop solar installations.
Mr Pathapol Ruangdejvorachai, Energy Technology Manager from ONNEX by SCG said:
“With valuable manufacturing assets, equipment and operations located beneath the solar array, the customer sought a solution that would provide an additional layer of protection and further reduce fire risk. The completed solar PV system now enables the manufacturer to generate clean, renewable electricity on-site while benefiting from increased confidence in the safety of the installation.”
The project also highlights the growing adoption of ArcBox technology across international markets. Working alongside ONNEX by SCG, the installation demonstrates how safety is becoming an increasingly important consideration in commercial and industrial solar projects all over the world.
