ArcBox solar safety enclosure is expanding its reach with availability across Central America, Colombia and the Caribbean through CELTEC, a Panama City based distributor specialising in the sale of solar products throughout the region. This partnership marks an important step in bringing enhanced solar safety solutions to markets operating in some of the world’s most demanding environmental conditions.
With increased temperatures, significant humidity and high salt exposure common across the region, solar PV installations are exposed to additional stresses that can increase the risk of connector degradation and electrical faults. The ArcBox solar safety enclosure is designed to protect DC connectors and reduce fire risk, providing an added layer of protection, helping to mitigate these risks and support safer, more resilient solar installations.
Alberto Ocana, Country Sales Manager – ArcBox Iberia said:
“We are extremely excited about this partnership, it underlines ArcBox’s growing international presence and its role in supporting safer solar deployments worldwide. With solar PV related fires on the rise, ArcBox provides a simple and cost‑effective solution to significantly reduce the fire risks associated with solar PV systems.”
Alejandro Medina, Technical Support Manager at CELTEC said:
“As part of our ongoing investment in solar PV safety, we continue to reinforce the importance of fire risk reduction and mitigation across the industry through a structured programme of training initiatives. Within this framework, ArcBox will be formally presented to Panama’s fire departments, emphasizing the role of preventive safety measures in minimizing fire-related risks associated with photovoltaic systems. We look forward to advancing industry awareness and demonstrating the value of ArcBox as these initiatives progress.”
